i cannot stand ungrateful parents at work.

i bend over backwards to accommodate you and your crazy schedule. the kids are coming for lessons for three weeks twice a week for one hour classes then half hour classes instead of the typical 7 weeks half an hour each class. then you have the nerve to call me and tell me you aren’t able to come on tuesdays and i need to find you make ups to get their lessons done!!??! now i have blank spots in my scheduels that i am NOT being paid for as no one is in the pool with me and on top of that you want me to give you unpaid makeup lessons because of your ill planning?!  

and i’m not going to be giving your husband private lessons that work around his “busy scheduel” as though i have nothing better to do with my time. and lastly I AM NOT coming to your backyard pool to teach.

i hate this. i don’t want to call her back. why do some parents think i just love working for free? 

oh yeah and last night i kicked a child out of my lesson. that was a first. i wish parents would discipline their children.

They tend to end up sounding over-confident, full of shit, a list of achievements that one may have succeeded or failed at. Something to fill out a list. They’re fake, cold, and don’t address any sort of passion or personality. Someday if I end up starting my program, I’m going to hire people in a fresh way. No cover letters. Maybe we’ll go out for coffee and chat. Maybe I’ll ask them to send a personal letter. Definitely no cover letters.
